Case Study
Linde Material Handling
Project Size:
100kW Rooftop Solar PV System
Project Summary
Smart Commercial Solar were referred to Linde Material Handling, along with 2 other companies, through our partners at SMA. The consultation process focused on understanding the benefits of solar and the rationale behind the business case.
Being a large company, there was a strict due diligence process that required approvals from management. Linde was comfortable to proceed based on the detail found in the Energy Data Analysis and Solar Feasibility Study. The project ran smoothly with lots of communication between both parties. Key stakeholder meetings were setup at key milestones throughout the installation so each party was informed and understood the next milestone.
The solution provided was a 100kW flush mounted rooftop system delivering 37% of the sites electricity. This will deliver ~19,000 in energy savings annually. The system was built with Trina modules and SMA inverters.
Even when an issue arose during site establishment, everyone worked together to relocate the scissor lift. This was resolved immediately and had no interruption to Linde’s operations. The project was completed within 60 days of signing.
The success of this install was due to the relationship Smart built with the customer. This was formed early on through the education process, and ultimately Linde chose to work with someone they could trust to deliver this system.
